Attention Sophomores & Juniors!  Enroll in CRC’s Introduction to INDIS 313 – Freshman Seminar class offered right here on our own campus!  This class will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 and begins August 22nd and will run to December 14th.  Cumulative GPA requirement to enroll in this class is 2.7.


INDIS 313 Freshman Seminar 3 Units

Prerequisite: None

General Education: AA/AS Area III(b); CSU Area E1

Course Transferable to UC/CSU

Hours: 54 hours LEC


The purpose of this course is to assist new college students in achieving academic success. Topics covered will include discipline specific academic language and culture, the value of a college education, problem solving strategies, the use of technology in college, academic integrity, campus resources and services, and life during and after college. (Info found on page 273 in 2016-2017 CRC Catalog) 


This class is transferable to both California State University and UC campuses.


The deadline for registration is Wednesday, May 10th, so talk to your high school counselor today!


Looking for an inexpensive Mother's Day gift for someone?


The Franklin High School Farmers Market will offer student-made ceramics, plants, and small gifts handmade by Toby Johnson Middle School students. If the weather is nice, Pinkberry Yogurt plans to be there to sell its wonderful frozen yogurt with toppings. Stop by and shop with us.


The market runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 6 near the Franklin Library on Whitelock Parkway. Proceeds fund student clubs on campus.


Attention Graduating Seniors!  Are you interested in a Career in Healthcare?  The Allied Health Learning Community is a structured pathway with guaranteed enrollment in the course sections you need to complete the prerequisites for our allied health programs:

  • Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Registered Nursing
  • Dental Hygiene
  • Dental Assisting
  • Vocational Nursing

The program is also designed to help you earn an Associate of Science Degree.  Most of the units earned will transfer to a four year college!

Who is Eligible for the Program?

High school graduates between the ages of 18-20 who are interested in a career in health care.

Teens: Would you like to volunteer somewhere that you can make a positive impact on animal welfare, the environment, and children? Then look no further than the Sacramento Zoo! There are two volunteer programs for teens: Zoo Teens during the school year and Camp Counselors during the summer.


Summer Camp Counselor:  June - August Ages 15-19

Zoo Teens: August - May, Ages 13 - 19

The Elk Grove Youth Commission is hosting a teen sporting event at Pleasant Grove High School on Sunday, April 30th. We are looking for Elk Grove teens ages 13-19 to participate in an amateur sports tournament. We are excited to host an event that gives teens a fun and safe place to be. The event features sports, food trucks, music by KSFM’s DJ Alazzawi and more!!

Attached please find the dates, rooms, and times for the 2017 AP Exams at Franklin High School.  It is very important that all students arrive on time.  Morning exam administration will begin promptly at 7:30 AM.  Afternoon exam administration will begin at 11:30 AM.  Please arrive before those times, or you may not be admitted to the test.  Please see the attachment for specific room assignments.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Bandy in HR 2 as soon as possible.  Good luck, and please take care of yourself as you prepare for your exams!


Yearbook sales have been extended! Act now as there are only 50 Yearbooks left. Yearbooks are on sale now exclusively through the concession stand for $100. All online sales have been stopped. Again, act fast, as yearbooks will sell out.


Attention Seniors!  If you are planning to attend Sacramento City College after graduation, be sure to get your testing done by Friday, March 31st .  See Sac City's testing schedule attached below for weekday dates and times.  


Both Sac City and CRC have their last Saturday Assessment Testing on March 25th.


 After completing the first 3 steps in the registration process,

(1) Application, (2) Online Orientation and (3) Assessment Testing,

you are ready to sign up for a Counseling Session at Sac City.


Sac City is offering Saturday Counseling Appointments on May 6th and May 13th - but don't procrastinate because they fill up fast!
